The Asian Health Foundation is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to improving the health of Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders (AAPIs). The Advisory Board is made up of over fifty leading medical professionals in the field of hepatitis B.

The primary focus of the AHF is the Hepatitis B Initiative. Hepatitis B affects 1 in 10 Asian-Americans and is a leading cause of liver cancer among Asians. Although vaccines preventing hepatitis B and effective treatments for patients already suffering from it are available, there is an alarmingly low level of understanding and knowledge of hepatitis B in the AAPI population and medical community.

Due to the close connection our board members have with the AAPI community, our programs consist of continuing medical education to AAPI front line health care providers in the form of local dinner meetings, hospital grand rounds, and symposiums at medical association meetings. In addition, we will reach out to AAPI communities to promote hepatitis B and liver cancer awareness through targeted patient education and screening programs.

With your support, we can change the course of this deadly disease and improve the health of AAPIs. To learn how you can get involved, or for more information, please email us at: asianhealthfoundation@charter.net
